CLIENT REQUIREMENT

  • Monitor and report on the efficient delivery of the functional outputs.
  • Attend regular progress and technical meetings with Network Rail, the Department for Transport (DfT), the Office of Rail Regulation (ORR) and Train Operating Companies (TOCs).
  • Undertake ad hoc reviews of scope and cost.

Stuart Maher Limited's Contribution

 

With the agreement of the ORR and Network Rail, SML was appointed by Halcrow in November 2006 to undertake the day-to-day reporter function for the West Coast Route Modernisation (WCRM) programme. The services included the provision of programme management and technical advice relating to the efficient delivery of the outputs specified by the ORR in its Access Charge Review, published in December 2003. The contract came to a natural end in March 2009 with the phased introduction of the December 2008 timetable and the achievement of journey time and capacity improvements across the whole of the West Coast Main Line (WCML).
